I particularly like that quote (the title) of Henry Ford. He said “if everything seems to be going against you, remember that the airplane takes off against the wind, not with it”

Now, let me make you realize something.

If a plane takes off with the wind, the plane is subject to anything. The wind can carry it anywhere and might even crash it.

That’s why the plane takes off against the wind, and even when it reaches it’s destination, it lands against the wind.

Here’s my lesson…

Immediately you determine to achieve something or get to your destined location in life, forces will always be against you.

Unlike the airplane whose opposing force is the wind, yours can be discouragement, friends, mockery, frustration, etc.

But if the airplane can arrive at it’s destination amongst all odds and opposing forces in the journey, it means you can also arrive at yours.

When the Plane crashes, people are not happy to hear it. It’s not a good news.

Same with when you give up. When you become depressed at your goals, it’s not a good news. Anyone who knows you will not be happy.

But know this, the journey to success is not going to be easy. You will keep moving against life. You will keep pushing against factors that has the potential of bringing you down.

But good news!!!

It’s not impossible. You can get there.

The lesson of this short post is just to remind you that, the journey to success and achievement will not be rosy and sweet. You must be prepared to face oppositions. Brace yourself. Read books. Grow in knowledge and wisdom. Attend seminars that will enhance you. These are the things that will keep you going.

Bottomline is, you can achieve it. You can get there. But you must be prepared, because you will move against the wind. But you will surely get there.

    1. They will if you use them as a source of motivation.

      Ordinarily, the negativity main aim is to delay success.

      But you can use what you have in you to use the negativity as a channel for motivation. That is if you can do it. But if you can’t, then it’s best to just stay positive by all means

  12. Thank you for the warm wishes in your post! This is so very true… the more you succeed, the more “wind” seems to be against you. What happens when you soar above all the wind? And you reach that quiet place in the air, where it seems like you’re just floating? You have to come back down again, and do it all again. And every time you go up, it’s a rush of energy. Every time you come down, it’s the same thing. You know how to control the feeling and actions you take, more and more. Just don’t give up. Great post! 🙏🏻☺️
