The Day I mistook Food 🥘 For A Baby 🤰🏾

When I was much much younger, I always wanted a baby. Precisely, a baby girl 😂😂

A reminder: We are all guys in our house (except mother)😅and males are the majority in my extended family. We only have 4 females to almost 20 males 😂😂😂

But I had always wondered how it will feel to have a female as sibling ..you know, a girl that I can train to play soccer, play the PlayStation, and other “boyish” stuff 😂

My brothers also wanted a sister, and we were constantly trying to figure out in our little minds, why mom found it so hard to manufacture a female.😂😂😂 like there was a machine in mom’s stomach that mom can say “heyy, I want a male ..hey I want a female” and boom! It pops out from wherever it pops out from 😅😅

So we kept getting angry at mom and dad for not even wanting to produce a female.

(Until we understood biology and the way everything works 😅😅)

But something unexpected happened.

I noticed something. Was it a breakthrough? Read on.

On one of those days that I had prepared my weekly speech to come tackle mom on why I wasn’t seeing her stomach big (big with my sister in it), I noticed something.

I put my ear on her stomach and I noticed something sounding! This sound was like a baby kicking!! Like something was in MOM’S STOMACH!!

I kept my ear fixed on her stomach. I couldn’t believe it!!! Does this mean I’m going to have a sister soon?!!! Yayyy!!! 🥳🥳

I didn’t want to tell mom about it. I thought she didn’t know about it and the baby would just come out suddenly and it will surprise her😂😂😂😂😂(as I’m remembering this, I’m feeling so ashamed of my little mind thinking)😂

So I got to school the next day I bought sweets 🍬. When my friends came requesting for some, I told them that I’m saving the sweets for my sister.

“Do You have a sister?” They kept asking

“Yes. I have a sister. And tomorrow, you will see her” 😂😂😂😂😂I replied.

😂😂😂how on earth did I think a baby in womb would make it to my school the next day???😂😂

Well, for like a week (or less), I kept thinking my mom was actually “carrying” my sister in her stomach.

But when I noticed that no baby was coming out or popping out, I decided to break my little secret to mom.

“Don’t you notice there’s a baby in your stomach” I told her.

“Baby? Why do you say so?” She replies.

“When I put my ear to your stomach, I kept hearing sounds, like as if a baby girl is in your stomach” I said.

Then she laughed so hard and said the sounds I kept hearing in her stomach the food she ate. (Amala) 😫😫😫😫

So the rumblings in her stomach wasn’t my baby sister, but my mom’s food undergoing digestion. 😭😭😭😭😭

After this, I gave up trying to have a sister with the consolation that I’m going to have daughter(s) 😇😇Let the will of God be done ✅.

I’m so happy with my brothers. And I’m so thankful to have them in my life. I never regretted having them, it’s just that I wanted to know the feeling of having a sister.

But thanks to all the wonderful people that I’ve met in my life, (YOU included) I now know how it feels to have both brothers and sisters.

I’ve met a lot of brothers and sisters, uncles and aunts, fathers and mothers, grandpas and grandmas, here on WordPress. So I’m so happy having y’all as my extended family. 🙏🏾🙏🏾❤️

For those complaining about their siblings (males and females), I want you to know that you should cherish what you have.

Some people are the only child of their parents. They wish to have brothers and sisters. If you have sisters alone, know that people out there wish they had sisters like yours.

If you have brothers alone, know that people out there wish they had brothers like yours.

If you are the only child, don’t feel bad. Know that many people also wish they are the only child like you.

Cherish the people you have.
