Donโ€™t ever annoy a Turkey ๐Ÿฆƒ ๐Ÿ˜ฉ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ

Iโ€™ve had many experiences. Some inspirational, some bitter, some funny.

And no matter what I share with my family (including you), there are lessons to learn. So sit back and enjoy ๐Ÿ˜‰

Turkey Turkey Turkey ๐Ÿฆƒ

When I was much younger, sometimes, I mistook Turkey for Peacock๐Ÿ˜ their body structure look alike, so I had tough times differentiating them, until I got wiser.

Sometimes, you just have to learn things the hard way. Experience is the best teacher.

So on this fateful day, I was taking a walk. Then I came by a house which had a farm. And because of my love for animals in general, I stopped to have an exciting look at the animals. (Chickens, Turkeys, etc)

Then I coughed.

And for some reasons, the Turkeys shouted back.

I faked another cough, and the Turkeys shouted back.

And because I didnโ€™t have any urgent thing to attend to, I waited and started making funny sounds, and the Turkeys will always sound back ๐Ÿ˜…

But you see, these Turkeys are wise. As I was making the sounds, they were sounding back and kept coming closer to me.

And because it is generally believed that domestic fowls canโ€™t possibly attack an human, I didnโ€™t really pay attention to it.

But one particular big female Turkey kept coming closer. Although she was sounding back, she kept coming closer.

Then, she immediately dashed towards me.

I ran!!! Honestly, if you were in my shoes, you would have run! It was like the farmer mistakenly put energy drink in the water bowl for the Turkeys.

It kept chasing me for like 3 minutes. I was surprised! The chase was pretty long for a Turkey. ๐Ÿ˜‚

I donโ€™t know why animals donโ€™t fear me. ๐Ÿ˜‚

In my previous story, Imagine the audacity of the snake to kill my chicken when I was around. Like can you imagine that disrespect?๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

Somethings that should only happen in animation movies, happen to me in reality!๐Ÿ˜ฉ๐Ÿ˜…but still, there are lessons to learn from everything that happens in oneโ€™s life.

Lessons learnt๐Ÿฆƒ

Turkeys are proud birds. And from my experiences, they love to have their peace.

Animals are living things. So they have feelings, just like you and I. So they also have emotions. Most times, itโ€™s their bad side that gets noticeable often ๐Ÿ˜…

And lastly, when a Turkey is around, donโ€™t make funny sounds. It can get really scary and nasty. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ˜…

I posted this because you might need a good smile wherever you are presently.

Well, everyone loves to read experiences of people and animals.

Please stay safe and enjoy your day as much as possible

Your smile is my inspiration โค๏ธ

  1. I’ve never had an encounter with a turkey!
Though I don’t enjoy having any such wish..
I have enough trivial fears already..
(Oops.. I see a cockroach below the bed.. gotta run!๐Ÿ˜ฎ๐Ÿ˜ฏ๐Ÿ˜…)

  2. You never know the sound you made might have been offensive to the Turkey. Most animals are very territorial and perhaps you over stayed and went over the line for her.

I found Emus to be very quick to chase. My family friend worked at a major sanctuary in Australia before he knew it the emu was behind him and kicked him in the behind making my friend fly through the air 6 feet. LOL painful and not funny.

    1. ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚you are right.

Maybe I was actually saying a language that was like โ€œHeyyy mother turkey! You are a big for nothing turkeyโ€ ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

And the Turkey took offense in that. Yeah. Most animals are territorial. No one should prey on their personal space.

Emus! ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚they would certainly make a good chaser.

Wow! Really?!! I bet itโ€™s so going to be painful ๐Ÿ˜‚

  3. HAha! Never seen a turkey. I wonder if they exist in India.
You have nice experiences to share.
Yeah, that snake crossed his boundaries with that.

Well, they look almost like the peacock ๐Ÿฆš
Donโ€™t worry, you will see it one day.

Yeah, it really crossed its boundaries ๐Ÿ˜ข๐Ÿ˜ค๐Ÿ˜ค

      1. Nope โ˜น
Is it related to the nation Turkey? ๐Ÿ˜ƒ
I have seen many peacocks. Peacock is national bird of India.
        It did. Reptiles are scary…

      2. I searched about it sometime back. Something about how Europe shipped Turkey from Turkey so they named the bird Turkey. Or maybe they named the nation turkey. Turns out it is related to the bird. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

      3. I just found: Turks call turkey as Hindi, meaning Indian. And French call it D’Inde. It apparently has some relation to India ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคฃ

      4. hmmm… I wonder why I have never seen a Turkey.
Indian culture spread to a vast region. It did influence a lot of things in the world.

My sister told me about turkeys like two weeks ago how her friend warned her not to move or run because the turkey was approaching her, because if she runs, the turkey will keep chasing her. So I can understand your position. Thank God for Growth.

Now, the difference is that, i didnโ€™t have to start running for her to chase me. She started it!๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

      She was pained ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

  5. Haha, that reminds me. I also had a funny experience with a Turkey about a year ago. I was returning from Church when this bird blocked my path… imagine the audacity! Okay so each time I tried moving it blocked me until we started going round and round a car. I threw stone at it, tried everything but birdy definitely wanted a piece of me! Anyway, one of my Church members distracted it and that’s how I got out. Praise the Lord!!!!!

        ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚four!!!!! Wow!

I donโ€™t want to ever get pecked by a Turkey ๐Ÿ˜‚

But yours is a really interesting experience

      2. Thats okay Vincent, it does happen more often than not. I see someone mentioned Emus as well. As I come from the land of the emu, I can honestly say they are amazing, but have no sense of direction. When they run out onto the road and start to run beside you, just stop. They have a bad habit of ducking into your car!

      3. Thanks for understanding

Emus ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚wow! I really need to tell someone this. Probably she would reconsider ๐Ÿ˜‚

Thanks so much for the enlightenment ๐Ÿ™๐ŸพI really appreciate it

      1. Yes, they sound more scary than I would have imagined!! I’m not really an animal person, myself…I like the stuffed, soft and fuzzy kind that don’t move–they sit quietly, thinking deep thoughts! ๐Ÿ™‚

      2. Yes, they are really scary when their personal space is intruded.

๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚yes, the stuffed ones are always peaceful and positive. They are also very obedient because they stay where you put them ๐Ÿ˜‚

  6. I can relate! I’m scared of anything in the bird family. A turkey chased my sister and I recently. Although I was minding my business when my sister went to tease this random turkey.๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

      1. Oh, yes. Beautiful, majestic creatures, my foot! They’re Honey Badgers with wings. My brother was chased for two hours on a kayak down a creek. When they fly at you, skimming the surface of the water, they’re at head level.

Wow! I didnโ€™t know those adorable creatures could be aggressive like this ๐Ÿ˜‚
