Wisdom: the application of knowledge

Knowledge is acquiring information. Wisdom is putting the information into practice.

For example,

You buy a book about “ways to grow your blog” and read it. We can say, you’ve acquired knowledge.

When you take those tips and you work on it, put efforts into it, we can say you have wisdom, or you are wise.

Now, I want to tell you some hidden and deep secrets about knowledge and wisdom.

1. Knowledge can be converted or it can be stagnant. ☘️

Have you ever been in a situation whereby you feel you have the knowledge about something, but it’s like you aren’t making the best use of it?

Like you’ve read all about Digital Marketing, and you are still having challenges marketing your products or getting customers?

Well, if you have ever had these feelings, it means you have knowledge, but it hasn’t been converted to wisdom.

It’s great! It’s fantastic! You’ve read books! You’ve watched videos! You’ve learnt!

But the challenge lies in the process of converting those numerous information that you’ve acquired, into something different, unique and life changing.

Bill Gates had the knowledge about softwares. He converted the knowledge into wisdom, by creating Microsoft. Same with Jeff Bezos, etc

And that’s where many people have problems and challenges. They can’t convert the knowledge in themselves into something beneficial and profitable.

But I won’t point out the challenges without providing possible solutions. It’s not good enough for me to say “These are the problems” and I won’t be able to say “These are the solutions”

So, here’s what you can do if you want to be both knowledgeable and wise. ☘️

1. Don’t focus on making yourself grow ONLY. Focus on making other people grow also. 💐

When you acquire information, it turns to knowledge. Which means, it mainly focuses on you, and you are the main person being impacted by it.

But when you focus on other people also, you try to let them benefit from what you know. And if people can be happy for the knowledge that you are giving them, it means you have wisdom, because you are giving out value.

Wisdom doesn’t apply to only you.

For the word “wisdom” to be used, it means at least, a person is touched by your actions or the knowledge you are offering.

It is then, that you can be said to be wise, because you’ve used your knowledge to impact yourself and it has also inspired other people as well.

If you have a blog, or a business or basically anything knowledgeable, if someone has ever told you that you are doing a great job, or you are amazing, etc. Then you are wise, because you’ve added to someone’s knowledge, and that person to another, to another, making you wise🌸🌸🌸

2. Wisdom requires a positive and strong mind. ☘️

It’s like giving a 5 years old boy, a couch to carry on his head. Can he carry it?

Of course, a 5 years old boy has strength, but is the strength enough for the task? NO!!

That’s the same with wisdom.

Wisdom is a huge responsibility placed on your mind and thinking.

If your mind is weak or not up to the task of carrying the huge responsibility of wisdom, then I’m sorry, you might not get wisdom.

I always emphasize that you shouldn’t think negatively. Don’t be pessimistic.

Being pessimistic is like damaging the immune system. After sometime, it will be weak and then bad things will begin flowing in.

Jeff Bezos saw the computer. He knew and he was very positive that something great can be done on that computer. It was a positive mindset that he had. And now, see where he is.

Have a positive mindset that you can do something that really counts. And you will be amazed at how wise you will be to achieve that goal.

With a positive mindset, you will think of wise ideas of Turning the knowledge in you into wisdom and achieving a lot.

Your smile is my inspiration ❤️❤️✨

  1. I love this quote: “Knowledge can be converted or it can be stagnant.” I’d been thinking about this recently how you know what’s best for you, and sometimes like in my case the actions is missing, but the actions is what makes a difference. Very wise post!

    1. Thanks for your nice comment😃

Yes, we have all thought of that at a point in our lives. I also thought of it also.

And most times, we discover that we have the information, but what’s holding us down is applying that information. Putting the information into action.

Like they say, “the journey of a thousand miles begins with one step” and that step is an action.

The action is what makes the journey accomplished.

I’m glad you could be enlightened by this post.

Please what’s your name?😃 I would really love to call you by your name

I hope you have heard of Mahatma Gandhi, he is father of nation(India), he once said…

“The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others”
