I remember the first time I bought flowers for a girl in Junior school, we had English class and my English teacher was teaching us. Then for some reasons, I stood up to go do something, I didnβt know how the flower πΉ (meant for the girl) came out of my bagππ and guess what? My seat was at the front roll π . You could imagine what happened right there.
Then immediately, my English teacher (a female by the way) saw and took the flower πΉ. She started questioning me and I was afraid …you know…being my first time π.
Then the girl I bought the flower πΉ for, stood up and told the teacher that I bought it for the English teacher. I was scared the more βwhat are you doing!?β I shouted in my head. βYou are going to get me into trouble!β I was trying to defend myself, I didnβt realize she was doing it for me. She came to my rescue. After the class, we hugged each other.
(Fast forward..) she didnβt resume next term π©π©π©.. she went to another state. I was heart broken. We were just close friends, and we liked each other. ππππππππππ
π π π that was Junior school and it was the first time I felt pain of valentine gone wrong π , even as an 11 year old π π . Itβs a memory that I can never forgetπ.
Well, many 11-year-olds wouldn’t have had the courage to bring a flower to a girl in the first place!

I donβt have any good or bad experiences myself. Itβs not a big day really. I will tell you my husband and I were out to eat. All candle lit tables. A couple sat down next to us. It seemed they were on a date. The guy hands the lady a beautifully wrapped box. She opened it. In the middle of the restaurant she is holding up this skimpy lingerie. We were in our 30βs. I think they were in there 40β. The guy has a giant smile on his face. The lady looked horrified and couldnβt get back in the box fast enough. Everyoneβs attention was on the couple because of the way he made a show of presenting that box. Iβm fairly sure she never put that on for him. My thought was what an arrogant pig. I bet if he tells this same story itβs quite different

Wonderful post! I emphasized the whole story from the beginning to the last word! As kids, we’re so tender and vulnerable. I hate when they end up heartbroken, but this is a natural learning path.

My valentine memory is about last year’s Valentine’s day when my junior friend(one year younger) proposed me in the playground of the schoolπ in front of all his friends, my friends and two sports teachers…. Everyone out there was like, OMG What is this guy doingπ And he said everything which was within his heart, in front of everyone out there and I was dumbstruck.
I was dumbstruck because it was totally unexpected because we were just friends for past 1 and a half year and suddenly he said all that by sitting on his knees.

Yaa… I felt too good that day but I was in a situation of confusion about my reply because my exams were fast approaching and he wanted me to give an answer to his proposal then and there only.
